Top Marlins possibility Fernandez added to roster

WASHINGTON (AP) a' Top pitching prospect Jose Fernandez was added to the Miami Marlins' list Sunday, and he's scheduled make his major league debut next Sunday against the Mets in Ny. The sudden shift comes because of injuries to right-handers Nathan Eovaldi and Henderson Alvarez. They had been declared included in the turn, but instead both begins the season on the disabled list as a result of shoulder inflammation. Also, first baseman Logan Morrison was placed on the 60-day disabled list while he recovers from knee surgery last September, meaning he will not rejoin the collection until June. Fernandez was the Marlins' first-round draft pick in 2011 and hasn't pitched above Single-A. The 20-year-old Fernandez was part of the Marlins' spring training camp in 2013 but was then sent to Double-A Jacksonville and had not been estimated to attain the majors until June. The Marlins also additional right-handers John Maine and Alex Sanabia to the roster. The rotation will be joined by sanabia. Bernard Nolasco will become the Marlins' opener Monday at Washington. Right-hander Kevin Slowey will start the second game of the line and the finale will be started by left-hander Wade LeBlanc. Eovaldi and Alvarez are anticipated to be sidelined for approximately per month. Fernandez, a, 220-pound right-hander, stumbled on the Usa by ship as a refugee in 2008. He was the 14th over all draft pick in 2011 as a top school senior in Tampa, Fla., and he went 14-1 with a ERA in 25 games in the minor leagues this past year.
