Chelsea could hand a start to striker Demba Ba (ankle), while Ryan Bertrand (illness) could also play after he trained on Friday.
Man City have doubts over midfielder David Silva (hamstring), who will be given time to prove his fitness as he looks to overcome the injury suffered in the latter stages of the win at Manchester United.
City are the bookmakers' favourites to win the game, and previewing it for Crunchsports.com, FootballTips.com writer Thomas Rooney expects things to be tight.
"They have their fair share of injuries too - particularly at the back - as they pay the price for some fixture congestion. However, the Blues have an excellent record in the FA Cup and they will feel whichever team they put out will have the quality - particularly going forward - to hurt Roberto Mancini's men.
City are determined to put a marker down for next season, while Chelsea, well they are simply hungry for as much silverware as possible.
"They have had a disastrous campaign according to many, so why not respond with an FA Cup win? Manager Rafa Benitez would certainly enjoy proving some people wrong.
"It should be a cracking semi-final with plenty of twists and turns, but in the end, it could be City's freshness that gets them over the line."
