Bayern Munich put an intensive beat down on Borussia Dortmund in the initial half of their DFB Pokal quarterfinal, but it took until the waning minutes of the opening stanza before they finally had something showing for it. After having a group of near missed, Arjen Robben gave Bayern the cause they earned with a great picture from 20 yards and sent the home part into the break ahead 1-0. Bayern were dominant from ab muscles start, overrunning the Dortmund midfield and playing nearly the whole half in the BvB half. They should have gone in the front in the beginning, but Toni Kross was off balance and didn't affect a rebound in to a spacious net. Bayern had another opportunity through Javi Martinez, who's nice first effect opportunity looked target bound, but Roman Weidenfeller made a sensational save yourself to keep it out and the match degree. Whilst, Dortmund couldn't string something together. They did not force Manuel Neuer in to a single save and Robert Lewandowski spent much of the initial half chilling out alone up top. But despite all of the chances and all of the control, Bayern couldn't score and appeared set to go to halftime stage. That is until Robben came to their rescue. Dortmund skilled Robben the opportunity with a poor giveaway within their own field and once he got the opening, Robben managed to get count. The Dutchman collected the ball at 20 meters and quickly shot, curling the ball completely to the top corner so gorgeously that Jurgen Klopp can only smile and nod his head as Bayern grabbed a 1-0 lead.
