With this the year of sports personalities being subtracted from the closet, how interesting is it to see one definitely be chased into 1? That's what happened to be able to George Maloof, one part of the Sacramento Kings' up-to-date ownership brother duo. As he was leaving a meeting at the NBA Plank of Governors meeting in Dallas earlier today, he was ambushed with a mob of reporters, and actually fled into a lodging bell stand closet.
Oh yeah, we should mention of which at that meeting, the owners voted to help you deny a bid move the Kings to Seattle.
Males, I don't make all the way up who gets chased all around a hotel lobby into a bell check closet. I'm possibly not that awesome!
RT "@brianmfloyd: George Maloof is getting a baggage closet as a great office now. Can't even make this stuff up" he's still inside!
Eventually Maloof was rescued from the closet, just as a celebration begins in Sacramento. A group led by investor Chelsea Hansen had a cope with the Maloofs to chose the team and move this to Seattle, but the Board involving Governors shot that down today with a vote of 22-8. Just two months ago, it looked much like the move was a conducted deal — but 11th-hour maneuvering by Sacramento mayor Kevin Johnson plus some other parties turned this tide.
Now it's up to NBA Commissioner David Strict to talk the Maloofs straight into accepting an offer from your competing ownership group with Sacramento. The Maloofs say that supply is not nearly acceptable at this moment.
