There has been lots of speculation about what a Edmonton Oilers might do with their first-round pick in the 2013 draft.
With the Oilers having various holes to fill on the NHL roster and a relatively plethora of prospects in the active system, it will be surprising in case the Oilers use this pen pick.
If GM Craig MacTavish can make a significant deal or two leading to a draft to improve your team's defence or then add activity much-needed size and sandpaper to his number of forwards, he will do it.
While the Oilers have had several rookie standouts in earlier times two or three seasons, including the addition from Justin Schultz and rookie scoring leader Nail Yakupov with 2013, the team may not really add more than 2 or three rookies next season.
The following three players are the most likely to end up rookie standouts in 2014, when there is room on the Oilers NHL roster following season.
