In the event that there's one question Lomaz Rockhold can't escape with the lead up to your partner's fight with Vitor Belfort for UFC on FX 8, it's about his opponent's using of testosterone replacement therapy (TRT).
While Belfort is doing his best to deflect questions about his entry to the controversial treatment that boosts testosterone levels with its recipients, Rockhold is under no such sequester when he's asked for the subject.
Rockhold is no freakout of TRT usage or that Belfort, who was terminated in 2006 after assessment positive for steroids, is allowed to prescribe to your treatment during the training camps prior to his fights.
"I believe that it's crap, I'm not about to lie about it. Concerning said that before, inches Rockhold told Bleacher State. "I don't think he must be cleared for TRT—he's a steroid user in past times and his body transformation it's just unheard of. I've seen guys on TRT and they don't look like Vitor. His transformation from as soon as he fought Anderson (Silva) from he is now... he seems as if a completely different man. It just doesn't glance natural, doesn't look appropriate.
UFC President Dana White-colored has spoken out recently regarding their own feelings about TRT maltreatment by fighters leading inside their bouts. His belief is that while they will test within the genuine limits on fight evening, their testosterone levels might through the roof within a training camp and then cut back down to a normal level to guarantee no test receives your red flag.
Since that point, White has implemented in-camp testing—paid for from the UFC—to ensure that any kind of fighter on TRT is the legal limits always. While it hasn't been publicized with the promotion, the assumption is that Belfort is tested throughout his training camp prior to the fight with Rockhold around Brazil.
No matter what amount of testing is done, Rockhold isn't buying Belfort's entry to TRT as being completely legal and within the limits.
"If you look at Vitor Belfort, look at him over the microphone—he can't even control his testosterone in the microphone when he goes into there, " Rockhold expressed. "When he fought Jon Jones he looked like a mutant. He basically doesn't look natural, doesn't be like a regular human increasingly being. He loses his cool relating to the mic, he's not talking immediately and he starts rambling about stuff that nobody understands. "
If you have one advantage to gain through the public knowledge that Belfort can be using TRT, it's the point that Rockhold also understands allowing it to prepare for that going into the fight. If Belfort is actually bigger, stronger and faster as a result of TRT, Rockhold knows he just needs to be one step ahead with the game when they satisfy on Saturday night.
"It will make me focus harder, makes me work harder. He will have that explosive strength and speed off the bat, but that's Vitor. He or she is always had that. It would be a little more than usual I guess, but I'll be prepared as it. I'm looking to break him as quickly as possible. I'm going to rub it him, I'm going to help you stalk him, " Rockhold claimed. "There's a recipe to be able to beat Vitor Belfort. I don't think many people have experienced the recipe to beat me yet. "
Any time Rockhold can put some of those ingredients together, he could be the first middleweight not named Anderson Silva to include a loss on Belfort's capture at 185-pounds. A victory would more than likely move him into position for a title shot in his second UFC attack, but he knows gaining through Belfort is everything that matters for now.
